I stayed at the Sofitel in December, 2007 and was less than impressed. However, I decided to give the hotel a second chance in May, 08 and I'm so very glad I did!
The members of staff that I encountered could not have been more polite, helpful and courteous. The hotel has really improved in this area and cannot be faulted. The GM, Simon Harris should be commended for these efforts. The atsmosphere was very pleasant and welcoming.
The hotel room was clean, well lit & beautiful and in-room noise has never been an issue for me. The blackout blinds are excellent!
I enjoyed another fantastic buffet breakfast, consuming my body weight in Latte's and omelettes. lol
I have found most 5 star hotels in Sydney to be quite similar, but the staff at the Sofitel make all the difference. Well Done.
