Well, It is a Ritz hotel and it is very nice. In my opinion, I thought it was just OK. For the price I expected more. The room we had was a little on the small side but the bathroom was amazing. The king size bed was very very comfortable and the location in Georgetown is within walking distance to great shopping. Note that if you do need ride somewhere they have a free driver that will take you to where you want to go. Like I said it was OK but for the price look elsewhere.

Stayed 3 nights at the Ritz-Carlton Georgetown in November, 2007. A boutique hotel. In a quiet location just a couple of short blocks from the center of bustling M Street. Room overlooking 31st Street was quiet with muffled street noise and Reagan Airport fly-over noise. No voices or sounds from adjoining rooms. Recent conversion of an old brick "incinerator building". Conversion nicely done--appealing architecture inside and out that fits character of Georgetown.

Had a premier room that was relatively small by luxury standards. Dim lights, none adequate for reading. Requested 3-way floor lamp that allowed me to read. Inadequate drawers, only 3 astonishingly small drawers. Very comfortable king bed. Very nice, spacious bath with separate shower. One, not-too-comfortable chair.

Very pleasant restaurant. I only had breakfast there which was fine. Had outstanding dinner at Seasons restaurant in nearby Four Seasons hotel. Also very good Italian dinner at Cafe Milano on Prospect Street, just off of Wisconsin.

Circulator bus on M Street runs frequently and connects to all sights for $1 per trip. Took to Union Station at end of stay. For arrival from Dulles, took 5A Metro bus from airport to Rosslyn Metro station, then taxi from across from station to hotel.

I liked staying in Georgetown. I got used to the room size as my stay went on and ended up being satisfied with my room and the hotel overall.

I stayed at this Ritz Carlton to visit with a few of my college buddies in Washington, DC. This Ritz's appearance is totally different than any other Ritz I've stayed in (I've stayed at Ritz Carlton all over the country). It looked like the Four Seasons and the W Hotel were combined. The hotel has an understated classic/
modern feel. In addtion, the hotel is in some type of old coal or gas
fired manufacturing plant..This history is definately reflected in the decor...very successfully I should add. The hotel fit perfectly with the trendy area of Georgetown.

The location of the hotel was prime. A block away from the corner of "M" and Wisconsin Ave. It you want to experience Georgetown this location could not be better (It is also a block away from the legendary Blues Alley if you are a jazz fan).

The room was nicely appointed and very comfortable. The bathroom was large although the shower was cramped. My only issue with the room was the internet connection never worked correctly. It took several attempts to connect with thier host site.

The workout area was very small but had quality machines. There also wasn't a shop to get small items that one tends to forget when packing.

I didn't eat at the hotel but did frequent the bar which again was more like a chic club in Manhattan than the usual Ritz atmosphere.

The serive was top notch. Everyone went out of their way to assist me and the doormen always knew my name. This is the only hotel I've evered stayed at where the bellman gave me his Ritz business card in case I ever needed his services again. I thought this was a nice touch.

Overall this a great Ritz. If you are looking for a trendy five star hotel in trendy Georgetown, this is the place for you.

Stayed two nights at the hotel for a conference. This is definitely a pricey experience, but as all costs were included, this was the hotel of choice. The rooms are beautifully decorated and comfortable, the beds had down comforters. The bathroom was to die for - marble tile, separate tub and glass shower, very chic and elegant.

The staff of the hotel were wonderful and friendly, and accomodated every request.

The only complaint would be the construction noise from the health club, but as I was at a conference all day, the annoyance was minimal.
