“Disappointing, not a typical "FOUR SEASONS" property”

Four Seasons

We have stayed a many Four Season Hotels around the world, and this was inconsistent with the quality this 5 star chain promises.

I attended a PAC sponsored political event held at the hotel recently, and I met my husband later in the evening for dinner and drinks, and we decided to unexpectedly spend the night.

Both the banquet facilities for the event and restaurant were fine quality, typical of a 5-star restaurant/hotel so it met all expectations.

However, the hotel room and service we experienced as ordinary guests booking a hotel room here was much less to be desired. The hotel was old, the furniture was old, the bathroom had mildew in the shower, the ceiling had old water stains from what appeared to be a roof leak, and the service was awful. The limo service was way overpriced, and the drivers were extremely rude and inconsiderate. It took over an hour for room service to arrive. At check-out, the bill they slid under the door had the wrong name and profile information attached to our room number, and it took almost an hour to get disputed charges off our bill and the right name and credit cards to match at check out.

The experience was both frustrating and disappointing. I would not stay here again.

“Great Hotel in the Heart of Georgetown!”

Four Seasons

My husband and I stayed overnight at the Four Seasons last weekend, en route to Philadelphia for a family funeral. We had had a long drive up from Florida, and needed a quiet sanctuary to catch our collective breaths. The Four Seasons was absolutely what we needed. Understated, elegant, top notch in every way. From check in to departure we were treated like VIPs. We stayed in the new East Wing of the hotel and it's really architechturally and technologically neat. Each room has a little display outside the door that lights up if you need privacy. Much better than fooling with a hang tag on the door knob. Our room was spacious and the bathroom had french doors with an asian-inspired feel to it that was really interesting. Also- you cannot beat the L'Occitane bath products provided. Heaven! For dinner on the night we arrived, we simply walked a few blocks and chose from the plethroa of dining experiences Georgetown has to offer. You simply can't get a better location to all of the dining, shopping and places of interest that Georgetown has to offer. We loved the Four Seasons and would not hesistate to stay there again.

“As usual the FS delivers”

Stayed at Four Seasons in Georgetown. The hotel is understated from the outside but luxurious on the inside. Excellent location. Great room in a "renovated" wing - clean well decorated and a wonderful bathroom. The staff is extremely friendly and efficient.
We needed contact solution at 11pm, of course it was delivered in less than 10 minutes. This was my boyfriend's first stay at an FS- they have another devoted fan. The entire chain manages to deliver a level of service and luxury that sets the benchmark. Another great Four Seasons experience.

“Nice hotel wiht great service”

We recently stayed at the Four Seasons DC. We stayed in an renovated Junior Suite which overlooked Georgetown. While it's not the most glamorous of Four Seasons hotels, it is very comfortable (great beds, quiet, two flat screens tvs, two bathrooms) and the staff takes great efforts to make your stay pleasant and memorable. Everyone we came in contact with, from housekeeping, to the people at the front desk, to the concierge, was helpful and friendly. All in all, a nice experience.

“very nice hotel”

My husband and I took our 2 children, ages 3 and 6 to DC for the weekend and had a wonderful stay at this hotel.

Our room, which was an executive suite suited us perfectly. There was a spacious living area with two roll away beds for the kids and then a large bedroom area. The room was very clean and furnished quite nicely. The only thing that would have been better was if there was an actual door between the two areas, but it was fine as it was. The hotel staff bent over backwards for the kids; cookies with their names on them waiting in our room with balloons, stuffed animals at check in, mini bathrobes, coloring books etc. They even had a special little mat and sponges in the bathtub.

The fitness club was very nice. I prefer to run outside especially in DC but if you want a nice gym for your workout this one is great. And the pool area/hottub was great with floaties for the kids and a nice sitting area for relaxing. The pool was very kid friendly although we tried to use it when others weren't around.

The location is great if you want to walk around Georgetown. The concierge was incredibly helpful in getting us reservations at kid friendly but nice restaurants, and they also got us tickets for the IMAX movie To Fly so we wouldn't have to go early and wait in line (that was an xtra $15 but worth not having to drag my 3 yr. old down there early or risk it being sold out). We took cabs to and from the Smithsonian for anywhere from $10 - $13. The hotel car brought us one time which was a treat.

Room service was good, came exactly when they said if not sooner. And of course the rest of the staff was beyond nice. My husband thought the door men were a bit tip happy but I didn't notice one way or another.

Overall this was a great hotel, my favorite in DC so far.
