The hotel is reasonably centrally located in BKK close to Chitlom and the other main shopping malls. It suffers slightly from being remote from a Skytrain station unlike other hotels but even in April it wasn't an impossible walk. The main issue with the hotel was it is ageing and the staff were generally indiifferent apart from folk working in cafes and the bars.
We were upgraded to a top floor room (not much better I suspect than the rest). Night 2 we were woken up by a loud noise above the ceiling at 0530 - staff at reception were slow to respond and in the end we only got through to them because my wife is Thai. After much toing and froing they discovered it was a hot water boiler which they then turned off. Having got over that and been sent some chocolates after I complained the next night one of the hinges came off the door so we could not shut it - a relaxing hour or two in the hotel turned into hammering and drilling. We did get a free breakfast in the Executive Lounge but it wasn't brilliant!
There are much better places to stay in this area of BKK. Maybe once they have finished refurbishment it will be better but I would advise booking with caution.
