We stayed here in August 2007 with the family 2 kids 7 and 11 as part of a tour around Peru. The hotel is an easy 15 minute walk from the centre accessed from the road down a series of steps. The setting is fantastic overlooking the river with El Misti as a back drop - breath taking. There are extensive gardens with a llama and caged birds to keep the kids entertained. Breakfast OK. Dinner was good with the restaurant having a lovely open fire and setting over the river. Food good. The rooms are however basic at least the ones we were allocated. One was smoking despite requests for no smoking ( seems to be a common problem in Peru) and no others were available to change to. The rooms were cold and bath rooms basic. Overall a lovely setting and I would return
