“Adobe Grand Villas is a special place”

Adobe Grand Villas is probably the most unique and gorgeous place we have ever stayed. Really, really incredible.... the attention to detail (architectural and decorating) is amazing. Totally comfortable in every way.... and the staff is so friendly and helpful. This is a boutique bed and breakfast, and is really most appropriate for honeymooners or other romantic getaways, however as a single mom with 2 kids, I did not in any way feel out of place (which sometimes happens!) but rather very welcomed! This is not a spot for a budget traveller, but if you are looking for a splurge, I would absolutely recommend it whole heartedly. A very special place! p.s. we stayed in the Timbers suite... my kids could not get over the waterfall shower or the jacuzzi tub with the fireplace in front of it! They wanted to live there!

I wrote one other review of the property and somehow it didnt show up so I'll try again.

We stayed at the Adobe Grand Villas earlier this month for a week and I would say that you will be hard pressed to find a nicer room to stay in anywhere, but I would not say that the ~$500+/night is money well spent. The beautiful views are limited in seemingly most of the rooms and the property is located just off of 89A in what appears to be a split of a residential and business area of sedona.

I would agree in general with another reviewer (BBi dtd 10/07) That the breakfast was disappointing and we were surprised that there would be the trouble getting the advertised "hot bread" in the room. We didnt get to appreciate this during our stay. We also had the server at breakfast go out of her way to make sure we were clear we were to check out the day we did and had her visit the room around 10 am to check on us, a few minutes later we started receiving calls w/hang ups and then as we were about to leave at 11, the maid service showed up beating the heck out of the door!

I would not be as hard on the property (especially in light of the beautiful rooms), but to be listed as #1 and command the $500 rate is a stretch here and indeed the service does come up short.

“Amazing resort”

I don't even know how to begin to explain to you how wonderful this resort is. We stayed on 2 separate nights in different rooms.
The first night we stayed in the Wagon Wheel room (my favorite) which was an old western themed room. There is a wagon wheel bed, waterfall style shower and beautiful woodwork. The room had every accommodation you can imagine including fresh baked bread, a fully set dining table, private porch and the most comfortable bed and bedding I have ever experienced. The staff was beyond accommodating with special regard to GM/Chef Michael Mirelli. The breakfast was both healthy and hearty which was wonderful and very tasty. It was really nice to be in a resort that really does consider every guest.

“Our Favorite Inn in Sedona”

Adobe Grand Villas

Mar 17, 2008

We just got back from our SECOND stay at Adobe Grand Villas. The first time, we stayed in White Dove, which I thought was absolutely FANTASTIC! So fantastic, I could hardly wait to stay there again. This time we stayed in Sagebrush. Who could guess that this room would be even MORE beautiful than White Dove? OK, the view from Sagebrush is not as good as the view from White Dove, but what really won me over was the amazing waterfall shower - it comes out of a tipped over clay pot on a shelf in the huge walk in shower! There is a huge jacuzzi for 2, two fireplaces. And then there was the spectacular carved wooden bed! Everything you need for a romantic weekend!

As on our previous trip, Michael prepared two great breakfasts - French toast on the first day and a spinach omelet on the second day. YUMMO!

On our first stay, the innkeepers hooked us up with a local guide who took us 4-wheel driving nearly all day. We had a splendid time. This time, we drove up to the old copper mining "haunted" town of Jerome and had a wonderful time taking scenic photos and shopping. Later we drove to Cathedral Rock for a wedding.

Since Adobe Grand Villas doesn't have a liquor license or a restaurant for dinner, we took a short drive down the street and picked up some wine at a liquor store on the way to dinner. We ate at Cucina Rustica on the first night - great food, beautiful place, not the most organized waiter, but it really didn't matter. The second night we ate at L'Auberge de Sedona - FABULOUS tasting menu featuring cheese and fois gras - so WRONG but SO VERY RIGHT!

I definitely plan to stay at Adobe Grand Villas again and again...It's just wonderful and I cannot reccomend it highly enough!

“Outstanding Experience!”

I spent 6 nights with my parents at the Adobe Grand Villas and have already re-booked for next year!

The innkeepers and chefs were amazing!

We stayed in the Silver Spur Villa which had 3 fireplaces, 2 whirlpools, 2 stall showers, and 2 king size beds! It was truly amazing and I would highly recommend the Adobe Grand Villas to anyone looking for a special time in Sedona, AZ.
