We booked PBC after reviewing on Trip Adviser and elsewhere - it looked great. The reality was seriously underwhelming. We had booked a one bed suite on the beach which was in a great location but very very tired and damp with plug sockets hanging off the wall and a bathroom that would have been more suited to a $100 per night motel. Which brings me to price. We booked with hotels.com and a rate of $760 per night was confirmed. We ended up paying $940 per night by the time 'high season resort charges' and other extras had been added. For nearly $1000 a night the room should have been immaculate.

Restaurant and room staff were mostly young (many students) and friendly in sharp contrast to the front desk which was at best ill-informed and at worst plain rude.

We moved early to the Fairmont Princess in Hamilton which was completely different but excellent and - for the best suite in the hotel -significantly cheaper!

After seeing some negative reviews we had set our expectations before we arrived. We moved from the over crowded and disappointing Fairmont Southampton to the quite and wonderful Pink Beach Club. We booked a delux ocean front cottage and thats exactly what we got, the empty pink beach was steps away where you could swim with the giant Rainbow Parrot fish everyday . The food was excellent but could have had more local fish , Rockfish, Wahoo on the menu. The staff were excellent and very helpful. Many people say this is expensive I believe it is great price performance! We will certainly return to this little piece of heaven.

We stayed at the hotel with a large party and had a really great time. I'd rate the trip itself above average to excellent. The food was very good, with a few dishes changing nightly. The breakfast was terrific, the lunch was good, and the dinner was great. We ate outside all but one night. You need to make reservations ahead of time (we did have a large party and we have young children, so wanted to make sure that we had the times that we wanted).

The view was spectacular. Our room was right on the beach. We could walk outside our room, down the grass, right onto the beach. It was absolutely beautiful.

My only complaints were that there are no televisions in the rooms - you can rent them along with a DVD/VCR for $100 for your stay, but be advised that there is no reception in the room, so you're really only getting the DVD for $100. There are 2 televisions in the lobby and bar to watch. And there were ants EVERYWHERE. We had the cottage sprayed almost daily. It was gross. Mostly in the bathroom.

Had a great getaway at Pink Beach. We came for the beach and were not disappointed. Enjoyed exploring little coves at low tide. Found meals and service to be beyond spectacular (extremely delicious and beautifully presented by friendly and helpful staff). Tea was a nice treat and held us over nicely until dinner. Loved the room: great view (spent a lot of time on balcony), very clean, convenient to have little refrigerator, and… the pull-out couch was extremely comfortable to sleep on (nice surprise as we usually don’t encounter comfortable pull-out couches!) Maid was very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. Not brave enough to rent mopeds so we got a bus pass. Bus stop was right outside the grounds. Wouldn’t recommend staying here if you were looking for something close to southside beaches and dockyard or if you were looking for nighttime excitement or even if you wanted something to go to within walking distance. We loved exploring St. George’s forts and beaches and enjoyed nearby crystal caves (something we hadn’t planned on but it was more convenient to go to St. George than Dockyard). Seemed to be quite a few family reunions going on but not sure if it would be a place we would bring kids to (unless they had a built-in assortment of cousins) $20 or so cab ride to airport was easy (and on the way back to the airport they picked up right at our room).
