We have stayed at the Residence Inn Bakersfield for five years attending the annual Street Rod car show held at the fairgrounds. We also are able to coordinate several rooms and they are always so helpful at the front desk. The rooms are super clean (we stay in a double room sharing with another couple) and very private. The beds are one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in and you have four pillows of different styles which is great. The breakfast served in the morning has lots of choices, including a self-service waffle maker. Scrambled eggs, cereal, fruit yogurt, etc. There is a pool and tennis courts. Plus the A/C works so good we froze in 100+ degree weather. The wireless worked ok but they do have a phone cable for internet access. I think the only thing I would suggest they change is a darker fabric on the glass doors to the rooms - if someone in the living room turns on a light it shows through. I think it would have been better if a regular door would have been used as opposed to a glass door. A super hotel!
