The location along the road in Moonstone beach is great. While we can not compare with other properties in the area, we were very satisfied with our stay at the Fogcatcher. The service was not only good, but also warm and welcoming.

The most basic thing a hotel has to provide is a good night sleep, and this one was excellent. At least our room was well insulated from any noise, and we had a good rest.

Walking on the beach in the morning, before breakfast was great.

Temperature control with the gas fireplace is a bit tricky, do not set it too high, as it takes time for it to warm up the room.

The pool was great. Just the right temperature of the water so that it is not too warm or cold. The bathrobes provided are good for getting out of the pool when it is windy.

The room was fabulous. The setting was gorgeous! The price was excellent. The staff was great!

The Pacific Ocean is across the street, nothing else, just the beach.

There were 2 good restaurants within walking distance and a fab little French one down town.

“Great Hotel on the Beach”

We really enjoyed our stay at FogCatcher Inn. The front desk staff were extraordinarily helpful and kind, and the room was terrific. We loved the decor, particularly the fireplace and the bedding. I really enjoyed the complimentary hot breakfast buffet with eggs, sausage, waffles, cereal, pastries, toast, etc. I started the morning with a wonderful walk along the beachfront boardwalk, and enjoyed watching the sea lions frolicking in the surf just steps from our hotel room. It was a great choice.

Great rate and view. Free full breakfast every morning. Binoculars, fireplace, fridge, microwave, cofee maker in every room. 5 miles from Hearst Castle. We would love to go back.

“Wonderful experience”

FogCatcher Inn

Looking for a nice place on the California coast that would accommodate my husband, me and our teenage son (in one room) at a price we could afford was a challenge. The FogCatcher Inn was that and more. The room was large; the fireplace/heating element was cozy. The beach in Cambria and its extensive boardwalk were great for exploring. The full breakfast each morning was one of the best offerings of great food I have ever had included with my room. The free internet made my son happy when we were in the room. The staff was friendly and helpful. They seemed genuinely interested in making sure we were comfortable. We will defiantly stay there again when we return to this part of California
