I had the UNpleasure of staying here (fortunately for only one night) this past weekend, as we were in town for a sporting event and had no choice but to spend the night somewhere in this area.
We were on the 3rd floor and checked in late at night, ready for bed. Well, my friends, sleep is something you probably won't get much of at this Comfort Inn. You will hear EVERYTHING that goes on above, below and next to you.
We were treated to the sounds of people stomping around above us, our neighbors slamming their doors shut, drawers being opened and closed, toilets and showers that were so loud that we thought they were coming from our own room at first...Even a bizzare "pinging" noise that seemed to come up through the floor and resonate through our bed. You get the picture. There appeared to be absolutely ZERO insulation in this hotel, which is completely unacceptable because it's a NEW property! Long story short, we got maybe 2 hours of real sleep here and left feeling annoyed and exhausted.
We paid $140 plus tax, for this awful experience. Had we maybe spent in the 70-80 range, I would figure "you get what you pay for," but there is no excuse when you are paying that kind of money.
Our king size bed wasn't very comfortable and had a very cheap feeling bedspread. The room had a microwave, coffee maker and refrigerator with a bit of counter space, and a small love seat/sitting area. If that is what they consider a "suite" than I guess I've been really, really spoiled at other hotels I've stayed at, because I wasn't impressed.
The pool is small and looked uninviting. Ok for kids I guess, but I have a feeling they would get bored quick. We had hot coffee and a danish in the a.m. which was nice and all, but no amount of coffee could have given us the energy we needed to make up for lack of sleep!
Normally I have pretty great traveling experiences, so I guess we need the occasional bad hotel to make us appreciate the others! Just want to warn fellow travelers about this place. Good luck!
