“Truly the loudest hotel I have EVER stayed at”

I had the UNpleasure of staying here (fortunately for only one night) this past weekend, as we were in town for a sporting event and had no choice but to spend the night somewhere in this area.

We were on the 3rd floor and checked in late at night, ready for bed. Well, my friends, sleep is something you probably won't get much of at this Comfort Inn. You will hear EVERYTHING that goes on above, below and next to you.

We were treated to the sounds of people stomping around above us, our neighbors slamming their doors shut, drawers being opened and closed, toilets and showers that were so loud that we thought they were coming from our own room at first...Even a bizzare "pinging" noise that seemed to come up through the floor and resonate through our bed. You get the picture. There appeared to be absolutely ZERO insulation in this hotel, which is completely unacceptable because it's a NEW property! Long story short, we got maybe 2 hours of real sleep here and left feeling annoyed and exhausted.

We paid $140 plus tax, for this awful experience. Had we maybe spent in the 70-80 range, I would figure "you get what you pay for," but there is no excuse when you are paying that kind of money.

Our king size bed wasn't very comfortable and had a very cheap feeling bedspread. The room had a microwave, coffee maker and refrigerator with a bit of counter space, and a small love seat/sitting area. If that is what they consider a "suite" than I guess I've been really, really spoiled at other hotels I've stayed at, because I wasn't impressed.

The pool is small and looked uninviting. Ok for kids I guess, but I have a feeling they would get bored quick. We had hot coffee and a danish in the a.m. which was nice and all, but no amount of coffee could have given us the energy we needed to make up for lack of sleep!

Normally I have pretty great traveling experiences, so I guess we need the occasional bad hotel to make us appreciate the others! Just want to warn fellow travelers about this place. Good luck!

Due to being one of the hotels in the city which has many sporting competetion's we try to get as many of our light sleepers and coporate guests, and speical request guests on the highter floors and team guests on the lower floors. however, if noise is the problem and our staff is notified whether its 1pm or 1am, we take care of the problem immediately! If guests don't notify the front desk and give the opportunity to slove the problem, then of course your not going to be satisfied. We are not able to tell if some one is slamming doors or jumping up on down on the floor above you, all we see are the public spaces on our camers. So next time the lesson is, to give some one a chance to solve your problems, especially if your paying $140.00, because I am 100% fine with kicking a problem maker out to ensure my other guests' restfull stay.

Regards,

Jay-Comfort Suites Clovis

We had a nice stay. Place was quiet and pool was nice. Breakfast was good and thoughful. The front desk guy remembered us and asked how we were. The computer was nice but no privacy checking your email, but that was ok. The room and fold out beds were unusally good sleeping. The room was very clean.

“Perfect Location”

Right in the heart of Old Town Clovis, clean, friendly and SAFE. As former residents of Clovis, we can understand those who are nervous about open exterior doors, but an unlocked door in that location is safer than triple-deadbolts in Fresno!
You have wonderful shopping & food outside your door. Pleasant staff and a comfortable stay inside. We're getting ready to stay there again in a few days - maybe I shouldn't say too many nice things or they might be booked up!

“New property, but terrible Service”

Comfort Suites Clovis

The property is newer, and the beds and rooms are comfortable, but the hotel is very noisy and the service isn't great. When we checked in, the process took forever and we got a different room than was on our reservation. It then took another 15 minutes for them to change our room type. The front desk clerk was very unfriendly and a bit rude. He seemed annoyed with us that we checked in around 9pm and interrupted his TV watching behind the front desk.

The wireless doesn't work very well, the signal is weak all over the hotel. The breakfast was terrible. The milk was bad two different days, the juice wasn't kept cold and there were no healthy items like fresh fruit; only sugary cereals, waffles, pastries, etc.

They also leave the side/back doors wide open all night and all day, no room key or anything required to get in.

The walls are paper thin, we could hear the people in the room next to us when they were just talking. The street the hotel is on is really noisy for a small town, and the noise carries in.

Stay somewhere else, it's not worth it.

This hotel was perfect! Very easy to get to. The room was much larger than we expected. Ample accommodations for the week we were there. Price was unbeatable. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to our needs. Would most definitely stay here again when in the area.
