we stayed in this motel for only one night and I cna honestly say that I am glad that it was only one night. I know the cost of the accomodation is cheap but I didnt feel safe the entire time that I was there and the staff at the reception on arrival (evening) were rude and unhelpful.

First impressions were ok, but as we had booked the basic room we were soon told to park the car out front and directed to our room which was on the ground floor and right next to the freeway. On walking in the room looked clean enough, until we found a rather large bug on the side and realised that the door would have openned easily without much hassel (even though it was locked). In the end for peace of mind, we wedged the spare chair in the room under the door handle so that no-one could break in. The walls are paper thin, so you can hear every conversation that is taking place either next door or above.

I know it was cheap and it was clean, but I don't like going to sleep at night worrying if the room is going to get broken into whilst Im asleep !

For fifty bucks, it's a good deal. Location is RIGHT next to the highway (99) for easy access AND right across the street from a community center, park and playground. Other than that, nothing is within walking distance except a Carl's Jr across busy Shaw street. Tons of fast food restaurants and strip malls along Shaw too. Room was fine - nothing fabulous, pretty quiet - but for fifty bucks, everything worked (except the desk lamp) and it included an empty mini fridge, microwave and safe. Decor was a bit above average (again - for a motel). Lots of contractors/construction workers and business people staying there. Didn't feel unsafe with two small kids but sadly, they didn't have much by way of kids tv (not even PBS). they have wi-fi but it's not free, fyi.

Enjoyed our stay here. Rooms decorated nicely, going for the retro modern feel. Staff friendly. Room nice and clean. Would definately stay again.
