We paid additional money at this hotel for a business class room because our experience has been that these are the only rooms at Days Inn fit to stay in. We checked in late (1am) and were very tired.

Upon entering the room, we heard the shower running - - NOT DRIPPING....RUNNING. It sounded like someone was taking a shower! On investigation, we found that the faucet was running.... we managed to slow it.... but it NEVER stopped. Let me emphasize that it was NOT DRIPPING...this was a gusher. If it weren't for the airconditioner noice and closing the bathroom door....we would have been kept up all night.

In the morning when I went to shower, I discovered ROACHES!!! Yes..... ROACHES in the bathroom. It was sooooo disgusting! In the morning was when we were able to really see how big of a dive this place was. You didn't even want to have bare feet on the carpet! My advice if you want to stay here...is BRING YOUR RAID! KEEP YOUR SHOES ON! AND A PLUMBERS WRENCH. This place is ROCK bottom. With tax....we paid $87.00!!!!! It was as bad or worse than Motel 6! Sleep in your car before tossing away $87 to sleep with roaches!

We had a one night stop over in this hotel and found it very good value and adequate for our needs. The rooms are big and well decorated and the breakfast included in the price was very good.The reception staff were brusque at first, but helpful when we needed directions, I think she was just a bit hassled at first. I would definately stay at this hotel again, but not in Fresno!!

Our group travelled to Fresno for a basketball tournament. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and courteous. We arrived in Fresno early and were allowed to settle into our rooms early. Our rooms were very large with a small kitchen area that had bottled water chilled in the fridge as well as a microwave. The lobby was large with comfy couches and chairs. The breakfast area was much larger than most hotels. They even opened up the dining area in the evening so our group could enjoy a pizza dinner. The area was obviously cleaned and ready for the next days breakfast, so out of gratitude, we made sure it was returned to the same condition as before our dinner. Here is the best part, the morning breakfast was wonderful. There were warm cinnamon rolls, bisquits and gravy, hard boiled eggs, waffles, cereals, bagels, muffins, large assorment of fresh fruits, several types of juices, milks - fat free, 1%, 2% and regular, even several types of coffee. I am sure I've left something out, but everyone was happy and no one left hungry. The staff made sure all items were restocked quickly and the food was just plain yummy. The hotel is located near anything you could ever need. Resturaunts, movie theater, shopping, even the underground gardens are close enough to walk to. I will definitely stay here the next time I visit Fresno.

Did not make it past the lobby. Had a reservation change that was not documented by the desk clerk after he said that it was no problem. Manager was on site as well. Went to check in on the 2nd of March and they stated that the room was already charged for a no show on the 26th. Phoned the hotel the morning of the 26th to have the date changed to the evening of the 2nd. Hotel would not give refund two weeks prior when I needed to cancel the reservation entirely due to military orders. Management was not flexible. Drove from San Francisco to Fresno that day just so we would not lose the $100.00 on the room. Did not have any business in Fresno and would not have made the trip if it was not for the no refund policy on the room. Manager stated there was nothing he could do and gave me a 1-800 number. Even after telling him the story and due to the error of the desk clerk in not changing the reservation he would not credit our card back nor would he give us a room for the evening due to the error. The hotel was not at capacity nor anywhere near it that they could not have spared the room for the evening to satisfy the mistake, not to mention take into account that the only reason we drove from San Francisco to Fresno was to stay in this room for the evening due to the no refund policy. Not only will I not stay at this Holiday Inn Express but this has put a sour taste in our mouths for any future dealings with the Holiday Inn Express chain.
