“Liked the Hyatt Grand Champions”

Hyatt Grand Champions Resort and Spa

We liked our stay except for some snafus.

We stayed August 31, 2008 through September 7, 2008

We have stayed at Hyatt Hotels before and gotten good service.
The rooms were roomy with a couple steps down split level. We had a golf view room and then a pool view room with patio first floor, nice T.V. worked with our Nintendo.

We had to call daily to request turn down because they kept forgetting us. Once they forgot to clean room and we had to call. Turn down should automatically be included in rates we are paying and we should not have to call and request it.

We liked the pools and the fact that there were a lot of pool chairs available. The Cabanas were reasonable. There are bunnies on the property, some baby ones, they were cute. We could see the bunnies every night at 5:30 p..m.

The shower in our room had a pipe hole in ceiling that leaked when guest above us took a shower. We mentioned this to the front desk and it was never resolved.

There should be customer satisfaction review cards in each room and at front desk, there were none. Most five star hotels have review cards in rooms.

We are not picky travelers, we are pretty easy going. The service staff should not listen to your complaints and then ignore them.

We might stay at the Hyatt Grand Champions again because they have great pools. The Palm Springs area was 104 degrees in early September. The Golf Course and Club House are nice.

“Wonderful hotel!!!”

This hotel was really nice, the rooms were exallent. Massive beds, huge plasma, really clean and 8 pools to swim in. I loved this resort and so did my family, i only paid $110 for this hotel which for us Brits is value for money. Our room had a beautiful view and really big balcony. Staff were really polite and the grounds were so clean. I could go on all day! If i have to mention the downfall side it would be that its alittle expensive when buying food and drink. Because im from Britian i would say its the equivalant to our own prices but i had noticed in the US that they pay at least half less than we do for all food, drink and so on, therefore that is the only fault i could find.

“Great service at a great resort”

Hyatt Grand Champions Resort and Spa

Recently stayed at this great property and was quite impressed with all the changes. New beds, flat screen tvs, new safes in the room, new mini refrigerators, new carpet in the hallways and new restaurant, Lantana.

From the check in process to breakfast and dinner to the pool and spa, the service was friendly, accomodating and tremendously service oriented. They truly cared about my stay.

I was not used to the salt water pool system, but was very impressed with it as I did not look like a prune after spending the day in the pool areas. The staff explained that the salt water system was better than the clorine system and easier on the skin. And they were right.

The food was fantastic and while some might believe eating at a resort can be expensive, the service and the food are truly worth it. Breakfast was great, the pizza at lunch was fabulous and dinner was outstanding.

The spa is priced just right especially considering the extras that you get. The locker rooms are clean, modern and full of extras that you don't find at day spas. My massage was perfect and I had a tremendous, relaxing time.

This resort is worth the time and money as you will not find this type of service anywhere in Southern California.

“Grand Champion”

Hyatt Grand Champions Resort and Spa

The Hyatt Grand Champion in Indian Wells is a great property. The adult only pool was a hit with us , although raising the age to 21 may be better than 18. Our room was a king with a step down which gave us more space, although the sofa has seen better days. The overall cleanliness as appreciated and the grounds were well kept. The spa was wonderfully calm ans relaxing.

“Good but not great”

The hotel exterior is really nice, it seems that they just got new carpet as well. The adult pool is nice too, although one of the 2 days we were there, it was quite dirty. Service is excellent in all areas....everyone was very polite and courteous. My biggest complaint is that the room wasn't very clean. There was something on the floor of the bathroom which appeared to be blood or something. Also, in front of the bed there was BRIGHT pink spots on the carpet, as well as blue gum mashed in. It was the first thing I saw when I walked in, and I thought it could definitely have been cleaned up. (we were in room 2214) The food was also VERY expensive. The breakfast "sticky toast" or whatever its called is really just about the size of a small cinnamon roll and its $14. Bottled water in the room goes for $6. The chicken quesadilla at the poolside was the greasiest thing I've seen, I couldn't even finish half of it, and it was $12. My husband and I chose to eat elsewhere most of the time. Overall, we had a great time. Weather was hot, golfing was great and the pool was nice. Will I be back....probably not. I would probably give another place a chance.
