“A Lotta Room”

Travelodge La Mesa

4 of 5 stars
North Platte, Nebraska
Jul 23, 2008

I rate this motel a 4 based on the management and the size of the room. I threw the management a huge curve by requesting a roll away bed two days before our arrival. The nice lady at the front desk made arrangements for us to have a larger room that could accomodate a roll away. What we found on our arrival was a room large enough to easily accomodate two roll aways! The room was especially advantageous because we stayed there a week, which gave the five of us ample room. The breakfast area can be crowded, the pool is small, and parking is tight; other than that a good, inexpensive place to stay near San Diego. I would stay there again!

“Travel Lodge”

Travelodge La Mesa

5 of 5 stars
Tucson, AZ
Jul 21, 2008

We have just returned from a week at the Travel Lodge. The hotel is great and the staff is magnificent and we have never experienced such incredible staff before. The only down fall is the parking, small slots and not enough. If you come back late (after 11:00 pm) you might have to park on the side of the street, but I will say the staff moved our vehicle for us due to the street sweeper cleaning between 4:30 am and 6:30 am. When we got up our vehicle was parked right near the front door. The breakfest was good for the type, The elevator is slow so you might want to take the stairs if you don't have much to carry but over all I would stay their again and recommend it to friends and family. Great rooms, close to the highway and stores and great front desk staff during all shifts.

    • Liked — The staff at the front desk were very helpful and professional
    • Disliked — The parking is bad!

“Pleasantly surprised !”

Travelodge La Mesa

Apr 17, 2008

What a pleasant surprise! I needed to stay in the area for business and since I've learned to trust Tripadvisor for accurate hotel ratings and this place was rated high, I decided to stay there.
And for only a 1 Star hotel, (maybe because the price is so reasonable), it was great! Staff was very friendly and the room was plenty big and comfortable and clean (recently upgraded) with all the amenities. And to top it off they had an adequate hot & cold breakfast available included in the price.
The location wasn't great but it was fine and safe and even though I was on the street side I could barely hear any noise.

I would stay again for sure if I am any where near the area.

“Great Hotel to enjoy”

Travelodge La Mesa

5 of 5 stars
El Paso, TX
Mar 18, 2008

I stayed in this hotel for over 7 months, from Sept 2007 to March 2008, due to the nature of my job. I had nothing but a great and excellent experience at this Travelodge. From the manager, Anal, to room service, I was treated with great importance and attention at all times.

The hotel had a very recent face lift with all rooms being completely decorated and furnished with new furniture, curtains, pillows, bedsheets, and comforters.
The lobby and entrance were also given a new and beautiful look.

All rooms are large and comfortable, and equiped with refrigerators, microwave oven, and kitchen sink. Bathrooms are serviced daily and supplied with plenty of towels, amenities, and equiped with wall mounted con-air hair blowers. Every room is supplied with iron and ironing board. Dry cleaning service is also available. The large table in the rooms is great for dinning and of course large enough for business and equiped with connections for your laptop.

The hotel features a daily continental breakfast that is second to none, with daily fresh fruits, cinnamon rolls, honey buns, hot and cold cereal, orange juice, milk, coffee, english muffins, bagels, white and wheat bread, and the king to top off the continental breakfast, " Belgium WAFFLES".

Conveniently located within walking distance to the hotel you will find all types of restuarants, from mexican to chinese buffet, and a Von's super market that is opened til mid-night, which is really more of a Super, Super Market, that would give any super Wal-mart a run for it's money.

I will highly recommend you stay at the Traveloge, in La Mesa, CA, 7911 University Ave., [--], when traveling in the San Diego and La Mesa area, and tell them, Ariel Resto from El Paso, TX sent you.

“Travelodge La Mesa was Exceptional!!”

Travelodge La Mesa

5 of 5 stars
California
Mar 14, 2008

The Travelodge La Mesa has out done its self in quality, service, & price. The rooms were very inviting & modern. Room decor with a 27' LCD & Pillowtop mattresses were also a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately, I did not have time to endulge in the property's attractive expanded breakfast.

I would recommend this property to everyone. However, the Travelodge sign is a little bit hard to see.
