My partner and I stayed here a few weeks ago for 3 nights and found it really nice. The staff were very friendly and the room we had was big and spacious. It is only about a 20 min walk to Universal Studios which was great and the subway/metro is right near Universal. We had the buffet breakfast each morning which was quite nice although I wished they had more continental stuff to choose from! Our room was cleaned every day we were there - I have no complaints at all - it was actually the quietest hotel we stayed in throughout our 3 week holiday - which involved going onto Hawaii and San Francisco!!

Myself and three of my friends stayed at this Hotel as part of a miniature Californian tour. It was clean, the staff were friendly and I did not notice any noise from the motorway. The reason I chose this Hotel was its relatively close proximity to Hollywood. There is a five minute walk to the subway/rail station and then one stop and you walk out right at the Chinese theatre, this was perfect for us as we went out clubbing at the Tropicana and the Roosevelt Hotel.

Overall this Hotel provides clean accomodation and serves perfectly as a base for those who wish to go out drinking in Hollywood.

Not that impressed but the price was low so I cant complain too much. The food was absoulely terrible. we tried both breakfast and dinner and both were disgusting! the hotel also had a funky smell and the rooms were not spacious. also, the neighborhood was not the best although they do offer a free shuttle to universal studies. their website pictures seem a bit decieving. it wasnt a terrible stay but just not what i expected.

This hotel I picked was based on reviews I had read from this website, I was pleasnalty suprised at how quiet the hotel was and when I did arrive I was dealt with promptly, the hotel reception was nice and helpful but the concierge/ baggage handlers were a bit unhelpful and alwas trying to sell us tours, when a tour came to pickup a few people from the hotel I overheard the concierge asking for his cut (not nice to see or hear) and on the final day when we were going to the airport because we booked out own transfer they didnt tell me when they arrived and didnt open the doors or help with our luggage or anything like that.

good point was its location to universal studios and the free shuttle that it took us to daily if we wanted it
