"Elan" is not what it used to be anymore. While the food is still very good, the quality of the service went down in the past year. If the staff would undergo more training and the gentleman introducing himself as the manager of the restaurant would choose to change jobs, I would still have hope for this restaurant to regain the wonderful ambiance that used to bring back often our family and friends.

Last night we had a terrible experience at Elan.
I called on Monday to make a reservation for a Friday night dinner for a special event in my family. While they were closed on Monday, they called me back and I could make a reservation for 7:30. I asked for special seating, as pretty much just 2 or 3 tables are worth considering.
However, when we turned out last night, the seater (who claims to be the manager) offered us a table that was pretty much in the way of people entering the restaurant. We refused the table, and asked for another one which appeared more decent. He refused, reasoning that that was table for 4 people not for only 3 which was our case. The discussion that followed was just futile, as the arogant "manager" explained that he would very well use the table if one of these events were to be celebrated in his family.

Our conclussion, after several dinners there, is that the restaurant is noisy, the tables are poorly positioned (except couple of them) and the service in general is poor for the money. In the end you go to a restaurant for the experience, rather than to fill up when you pay 200$+ for 3 people!
