The location on the Atlantic is nice, even though there is a strip joint across the street and no restaurant that is half-way decent within walking distance. The hotel lobby has that stinky cheap hotel smell as does the breakfast room and the hotel room itself. The room was dirty but the sheets looked clean. I killed one cockroach on the wall next to the bed and another roach crawling on the bathroom sink. Saw another one on the fridge, but it got away. Warning, don't stay here!!!

Stayed here pre-cruise on a Wednesday evening. Easy to get to and checked in early evening. Very friendly and accommodating front desk lady (sorry I didn't get her name). Lovely end room with great ocean front view. Building very close to ocean and the view truly was great. Room was clean with fridge and micro. Seemed to be recently renovated. King mattress was wonderful and had great night's sleep. Looked like paint had been re-done/spruced up and all looked great. Not a Hilton, but great for a mid-range hotel. Breakfast in a.m. was standard continental with Belgium waffles. Will definitely recommend this hotel to others. Also, they do allow pets with a fee, and we had no pet "evidence" in our room. It was clean and just right. Spring Breakers are allowed, but it appears they have rules they enforce and that is great with me! Ocean view rooms are at an angle and you can see the ocean fine from there. Ocean front rooms are definitely just that. Sigh... Wish I was there. Oh! Publix down the way just a bit and true Daytona Beach just up the road. This is located just south of true Daytona in Daytona Beach Shores. Did I say the view is great??????????? :)

Worse hotel staff, especially front desk, I have ever encountered. Booked an oceanfront room and was given one on the second floor with no view. Was rudely told I could not change rooms even though the hotel was not fully booked. Stay anyplace but this rotten so called resort.

A family group of 10 stayed at the Quality Inn Ocean Palms
May 20 for what was supposed to be a 4 night stay at the beach. However my sister found several ROACHES in her room and we checked out early. When we advised the front desk of our findings they didn't seem the least bit surprised ! The property does have some bonuses...it's location on the beach, a great breakfast and nice pool. I did not have any bugs in my room but I was not comfortable with the trash piling up in the trash rooms. Maybe that explains the bug problem in the guest rooms. I would not stay here again.
