I had stayed at the Inn on the Beach back in the early eighties and rembered it as a nice hotel. After seeing the rates of the hotel I normally stay at I decided to give the Inn on the Beach a try. I booked on their websiteand got a great deal for an oceanfront effiency(the cheapest rate I've gotten in the last 10years.)After reading the bad reviews on the tripadvisor I decided I would cancel the room and stay somewhere else. I then realized I would lose my deposit because I had gotten the Internet special. I decided to give it a try anyway. I arrivied July 19 at 11am 4 hours before check in time. The hotel clerk asked me what floor I wanted and gave me room keys to the 7th floor. I was in my room 30 minutes after I arrived. The bathroom is a little small and the room needs to be updated. It has a nice balcony with a great view of the ocean, the only problem is pigeons love to sit on the balcony. They have one of the biggest pools in Daytona. The pool scene more than makes up for the room. They have a poolside bar and music playing most of the time. The hot tub is the hottest water I.ve been in. Most fun I've had around a pool in quiet awhile. They also have a free breakfast featuring homemade waffles, cereals, bagels and any breakfast drink you desire. I stayed 7 nights and for the price I would stay here again. David Cleveland TN

the hotel staff was great the hotel is a little old but, unless your looking for lifestyles of the rich and famous you shouldn't have a problem, awesome for a family vacation, just be careful walking on side walks after dark it can be scary for the family. awesome vacation the prior reviews were a little discouraging, but stayed anyway and glad i did.

At first i was very weary of this place. After reading the reviews i was very upset. Then when we arrived everthing was nice and clean. The only problem i had was that the bathroom was too small and no fan in there. The pool was awesome!! We will definently be staying at this hotel again. We are from MISSISSIPPI!

We booked our stay at INN ON THE BEACH in Daytona, Beach FL because of the nice pics and reviews we had read online. After we booked our reservation, however, I found reviews on this website that were not good. We decided to go ahead and stay. When we arrived, the hotel looked ok from the outside considering the age of the place. The clerk at check in was very nice, and we were given an efficiency for the same price as a reg. room. After our first night , we were quietly watching TV and getting ready to go to bed, when my son saw something run behind the curtain. We saw nothing until a few minutes later and then there it was , a MOUSE, running through our room. I proceeded to go to the office to inquire if they had problems with mice. I was told no, not at all, and then after I told her I saw some complaints online about mice, she then said "well, we have on the bottom floors" well, we were on the 6th floor, room 618 to be exact. She was extremely nice and offered us another room which we took as it was almost 1130 at night. We moved rooms and were put on the 5th floor in a very big double suite, again for no extra charge. We spent the rest of our vacation very uneasy wondering if we would have more visitors in that room as the door had a gap of about 2 inches at the bottom and we watched the mice come in from a gap in our air cond. in the other room. We left a day early and hopefully none of the mice have hitched a ride back with us! The pool was nice and the beach was beautiful, but with the paper thin walls in our upgraded room, we had to listen to kids and adults screaming all night , which was annoying and people on the balcony behind us cooking out on their balcony with a GRILL. Not safe! I would not recommend INN ON THE BEACH unless that was your only choice. We regret it.
