I just stayed at this resort. It is very nice and plan to go stay there again. The room was clean and furnished nicely. The room was stocked with every supply, utensil, and kitchen ware you may need. the room was very comfortable and one could easily make himself or herself at home. One disappointment was the $3.99/day additional resort fee. This fee covered the hotel "extras" such as "free" local calls, movie and game rentals, etc. At the time of reservation I knew nothing of this extra fee. It was a complete surprise to me upon check-in. At that point, what can you do? You can't change your reservation so they get that extra money regardless. I don't mind paying it but I don't want to be surprised with "extra fees". With regard to supplies, the hotel furnishes the first set but the traveler is responsible for supply the next set. So, if you run out something it is your responsibility to replace.

Overall the place is great and would still recommend.

Chose this hotel after reading several reviews both here and on Orbitz, Yahoo, Expedia etc. It was better than I had hoped. The hotel looks dated on the outside but inside it has a very warm feel. The rooms are small but have a homey feel to them and are equiped with everything you need. The seperate bedroom was a big feature which led me to favor this hotel over others along with it's size. I'm not a fan of the larger hotels. We got the larger room with two double beds. The beds in our room were comfortable enough and I slept soundly. The lobby, elevator, hallways and room were clean and bug free. The staff were very friendly and accomodating. Don't miss Mike's downstairs for breakfast by the beach. Great way to greet the day. Also don't miss Crabby Joe's on the pier which is right next door. We were there in early October which is the slow time in Daytona. Most of the time, we had the pool to ourselves. The pool is not huge but serves it's purpose well. Hotel location is away from all the hustle and bustle of Daytona which made it great for us. Will definitely come back next time we're in Daytona.

People beware! The only good thing I can say about the hotel is that Jill was a very nice person. Upon arrival we were hit with a $50.00 deposit, told if you run out of toilet paper we had to buy, etc. There were so many ants in the room it was unreal. Our balcony door knob didn't work until the night before we checked out. I cut my hand on a rusty spring on the balcony door knob. The mattress was terrible and I could go on and on. When we got ready to check out the mgr told me there would be an additional $3.99 a night (which we stayed 5 nights). I asked what for and she pointed out a sign that listed 4 services which we never used (like crib rental, etc) our child was 13 yrs old. It wasn't the point of the money it was just the condition of the place and the hidden charges that we were not told of. When I mentioned about the ants she informed me that it was compliments of Florida. I've stayed every year at Florida and never seen this many ants. From now on when we vacation there, we will be using the hotel that has always gave us maid service and etc without extra charges.

We stayed at the Celebrity Resorts in Daytona during our vacation in the end of August. The resort operates as a condo timeshare for RCI club members, but they also rent their rooms for non-club members. We booked it via an online travel brokerage website and got a pretty sweet deal! No detail is left out at the hotel. Everything from the dishes, to the fully-equipped kitchen (small and big appliances), to the quaint decór and the magnificent oceanview, everything contributed to a great experience.

One complain that kept me from giving this an Excellent review, was the bed. Our mattress was either too old or too cheaply made, because my back hurt during my entire stay there. I would recommend updating the bedrooms with a pillowtop. I will definitely stay there again, but will bring a mattress pad just in case.
