“Beautiful renovations! Classy, relaxing, perfect!”

My husband and I spent a few nights here last week and were very satisfied with our stay. The resort is north of the big "touristy" district where there's a liquor store/bar/gift shop on every corner. Hence, the noise level is less, it's a little more authentic, and the traffic is much easier to navigate.

The hotel underwent a huge renovation recently, and it definitely shows. The lobby is nicely decorated with marble floors/counters. The rooms themselves are very comfortable, decorated in pastels with beachy paintings in on the walls. We stayed in a suite, which I'd HIGHLY RECOMMEND. The bathroom was HUGE, with nice ammenities. There were flat screen TVs in the bedroom and living room. The kitchen, albeit small, had everything we needed - stove top, mocrowave, full fridge, utensils, pots/pans. There was even free bottled water stacked in our fridge, a nice touch.

The beach itself was great and peaceful. Again, away from a lot of the noisy hubub of 2miles south. The pool was beautiful. Enjoyed the fire pit at night.

All in all, we woudl definitely come again. A great romantic getaway, and a nice value for families as well. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

“Our stay was terrific!”

Daytona Beach Resort and Conference Center

We stayed here from 4/19 through 4/26/08. We booked a one bedroom oceanfront condo. The view was tremendous and the balcony was private. Some of the units share balconies, so be prepared for that. They had security show us two different rooms, and we chose the one we wanted. Some of the rooms just have step-out balconies that are not large enough for a chair.

The lobby is very pretty and everything looked new and clean to me.

There are plenty of beach towels in the spa and you can use as many as you want. All the pools are really nice.

I just read the previous review that stated there is no security in the parking lot. We had to show our pass to a security guard every time we entered the parking lot and we left two or three times each day. There was adequate self-parking when we were there.

I had read one of the reviews that there were in-room safes, but that was not the case in our unit. You can use a safety deposit box at the front desk.

Our condo was newly redecorated and very nice and clean. There was a full-sized fridge and they have anything you might need in the kitchen including a corkscrew. There is a coffee pot and a toaster. Maid service provided coffee kits each day.

There is a grocery store in the shopping center across the street. There is also a Red Lobster, Ruby Tuesday, Olive Garden, and several other restaurants all within walking distance. There is a Denny's across the street, but I can't recommend it--we had one breakfast there and it was mediocre at best.

They do charge a $12 resort fee each day and with tax, it comes to $13.50. I agree that this is a crock, and it is just another way for the hotel to make money while keeping their rates competitive, but at least they don't charge you to park on top of that. In Ft. Lauderdale, they charge the resort fee plus $25 a day to park your car yourself.

We had very good service during our entire stay. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

“This Resort is THE BEST!”

Daytona Beach Resort and Conference Center

This Resort is Just Great! Take it from one who travels to Daytona Beach on business on a regular basis - this newly renovated resort is the best on the beach - and I have stayed at them all - Shores Resort and Spa, Hilton, Wyndham. The staff is friendly and informed, my car can be valet parked, and I felt like a guest - not a "number". This time, I brought my wife for a retreat and we stayed in king-bedded Ocean view room - the view at night was fabulous from our balcony - all the lights twinkling in the distance and a view of the ocean as well. This resort has 4 pools, a couple of jacuzzi's, a sauna and a fitness room - perfect for relaxation. My wife and I enjoyed the poolside bar (food and drink), and their new restaurant (I think it is called Reflections) was just great. Oceanview dining, fabulous menu, attentive service, great drinks and all wines by the glass! After dinner, we sat at the oceanfront firepit and just watched the sun go down. We will be coming back later this summer with the kids - my wife is looking forward to using their Spa and the kids will enjoy the fabulous beach and pools- what a great place!

“they dont care if you like them or not.......”

.I would never stay or recommend this place to anyone, the rooms are just ok... the place is dirty and management is rude and useless.

IF THEY RUN OUT OF SPOTS... YEA, YOU CAN VALET IT FOR ANOTHER 10 BUCKS... BUT GUESS WHAT ... THEY DONT HAVE ENOUGH FOOM FOR VALET EITHER.The biggest issue is they dont have enough parking for their guest because they let anyone into their unsecure garage.. and if you are a guest..you cant leave because you may not be able to park when you get back!!!

YOU PAY A RESORT FEE....WHICH INCLUDES PARKING .. BUT THEY DONT HAVE ENOUGH PARKING.

when i approached the head manager she was rude and unhelpful...left voice mail for general manager and he did not return any calls.
WHAT A JOKE.....FIND ANOTHER PLACE... THIS IS NOT THE ONE...ESPECIALLY FOR WHAT THEY CHARGE.

“Fantastic getaway!”

We stayed for a weekend getaway at the Daytona Beach Resort April 18, 19 and 20. I was very pleased with the hotel. We had a one bedroom oceanfront condo and it was just perfect for the two of us. I will say that it's much more of a hotel feel than a condo because the bedroom, though in a seperate room, is not closed off from the rest of the space. There is no door to ensure privacy, if you need it, but for the two of us it was fine. The kitchen is VERY small, but functional and it had what looked to be brand new applicances. The whole place was super clean, very spacious and the ocean front view was simply beautiful. The pool area was really nice - they had a DJ during the day and the pool bar was very convenient. I'd like to note that they didn't mind if you brought food and drinks out to the pool from your room, which can save you quite a bit on the budget. There were plenty of loungers and tables with umbrellas both days we were there and the weather made everything even more perfect. We booked through Expedia and got a FANTASTIC rate. Almost 50% less than what was advertised on Travelocity and on the hotel site so be sure to check all the sites before you book. We will definetly be back - can't wait. I don't know if I've every been more satisfied with a place in Daytona. Most places have that old, smelly, spring break feeling but DBR didn't - everything was clean and appeared to be new. VERY NICE!
