Decided to make a quick getaway from Cocoa Beach with the family - 13 and 9 yr old.... we couldnt have asked for more.. stayed in the one bedroom with pull out couch in the living area. Our cottage was actually located across the street from the main apartments/office which at first kind of disappointed us as we thought we needed to be on the beach side. Its just a minute walk out your front door through the apartments to get to the beach/pool, but in the end we decided we got the best deal.. Our cottage was like a fabulous home away from home with our own little dock to sit and have breakfast on right on a beautiful canal/residential area. Your own BBQ right in your front porch and gorgeous gardens to enjoy. Would not have traded it for anything, was exactly what we were looking for, a little away time, tranquility and natural beauty of the gulf beaches...Apartment was very clean, extremely well furnished with everything you need, wouldnt have minded a TV in the master bedroom for the evenings to get away from "Nick at nite", but otherwise everything was perfect... no wireless internet, so plan on stopping at the office to check emails etc 8-5. Staff was super nice, but get there before 5 if you have any questions at checkin. Longboat is definitely quiet in the summer, but St. Armands circle seems to stay busy with lots of shopping and restaurants etc, and very easy to get to. Turtles are nesting right outside the doorsteps of the resort, so keep your eyes open!
