“Nice Place, Shame About the Location”

Fairfield Inn Boston Woburn

First of all, light sleepers should stop reading here and go find another place to stay. This hotel actually provides earplugs in the rooms! And for good reason.

The Fairfield Inn Woburn is a very nice little hotel in a horrible location. I-95 is right in the backyard. In the front is busy Mishawum Rd., with stores and restaurants. To the left is a restaurant. And smack up along the right side of the hotel is the MBTA Lowell Line and its diesel commuter trains.

The folks who work here are nice as can be. The rooms are clean. Breakfast was fine. They have a PC in the lobby to get online. But unless you can sleep through anything, this just isn't the place.

“Impressed with the stay and everything was very well”

Made the booking online and got the rate @ $59/night for two nights which I thought it was a good deal for a weekend stay right before the X'mas holiday.

Arrived the hotel after dinner time and got arranged a room downstairs right by the public washroom, which wasn't a problem to me. Staff was nice and helpful, place was clean and parking was free and just right outside the hotel main entrance. Hotel was just right across the street from Woburn Mall and next to a 99 Bar and Grill, also a Sunoco gas station next to it.

Got in the room (a handicap equipped guestroom), was clean and tidy, nothing wrong at all... I was concerned about the internet access and wifi didn't give me any problem. There was a share-use computer located near to the lobby by the hallway, with a printer connected. Looked like a mini business center to me.

Breakfast buffet was above average with a lot of selection and very spacious catering area. It had a few kinds of coffee, waffle (self-make), cereals, muffins, beagles, breads fo toasters, bananas, oranges, even strawberries too. Cleaner on first day breakfast was very responsible and oftenly clean up the buffet area when there were people over spilled liquid or messed up the table. Had two waffles and few muffins with my wife and we loved the food very much.

Over all, it's a very good value hotel and quite followed the usual Marriot standard. We tried to save our travel cost by staying in this location rather than Boston as we did have a car to travel and parking was free in this location and saved up the cost to park in Boston area. It took us less than half an hour to go to Boston and highway traffic wasn't that bad on the days we stayed.

I would highly recommend my friends to stay in this Marriot as it's above the value.

“Fairfield Woburn is Just Fine”

We found this a clean and comfortable place to stay. We arrived early in the day and the front desk attendant made a special effort to find a room for us facing away from the interstate. She also helped us with directions to the JFK museum which we wanted to see.
We didn't have trouble sleeping but the hotel is pro-active by offering earplugs in the nightstand for light sleepers. I was sorry I didn't take them along as I could have used them at a different property later in our trip.
The breakfast was fine, with quite a variety being offered and the manager was present to see that all was going well.
The staff was quick to handle our every request quickly and efficiently.
Staying outside of Boston was the best choice since driving there is challenging for a foreigner. The train station is a few minutes away by car or the shuttle will bring you there.
Good price, good location. Would definitely stay again.

“Good Place”

Fairfield Inn Boston Woburn

Dec 30, 2006

My family and I stayed here on vacation for 3 nights. When we checked in we had a room in the back of the hotel and that is right by where the commuter train goes by and it is REALLY loud. We changed to a room in the front part of the hotel and it was superb.

If you want to use a computer, there is only one and it was sort of crappy. The printer was broken and the computer was right by the front door.

The night staff was a little grouchy, but they were okay. The day staff was okay. The breakfast was great and it was free!

Right near the hotel is the commuter rail station and we took that and went right into Boston! Trust me, don't drive into Boston because it is bad parking situation!

The pool at the hotel looked okay, but it was broken during our stay! We were not planning on using it anyway!

Overall, great hotel for the money.

“Decent value/location hotel”

Stayed 4 nights at Fairfield Inn. Out of town location provides good value compared with centre of Boston, and hotel is very convenient for "T" train fron Anderson RTC into centre of Boston.
Rooms comfortableand breakfast more than adequate with a good range frequently re-stocked.

Check in and out were seamless. The only further advice I would give is to ask for a room away from I 95 which is adjacent at back of hotel, and very busyand noisy, if you are an easily disturbed sleeper .

Would use the hotel again.
