“Quiet for being at the Airport”

Radisson Inn Tulsa Airport

3 of 5 stars
New York City, New York

I stayed at the Radisson for work, and the location was great because it is right by the airport. It's a little difficult to find, so if you're walking from the baggage claim, follow the signs to "Long Term Parking" and you're set.

The hotel seems a little dated, and the employees were just average. The hotel is a lot bigger than you think it is - my room seemed like it was a mile walk from the check-in desk. The staff was friendly, but it seemed like it was a forced friendliness.

The room was comfortable. All beds are equipped with the sleep number bed, so there are all sorts of wires coming out of the bed. I was too tired to even care what the controls were for! But the bed itself was very comfortable as it was. Surprisingly, it was very quiet (but then again the Tulsa Airport isn't exactly that busy).

After going to downtown to eat (I highly recommend Caz's Chowhouse in the Brady Arts District), we spent time at the hotel bar. I guess bars are fun when you go with the right people because we had a great time and met other people staying there as well.

Overall, the hotel is pretty average. But if you want a place to stay close to the airport that is quiet and has a comfortable bed, this is the hotel for you!

This is a converted 1960 era Holiday Inn.

It's "all saddle and no horse." It was recently redocorated. New carpets and wall coverings. Sleep number bed. BUT:

NO ELEVATOR to second floor.
Dirty (used )bed linens...REALLY. No,REALLY.
Small room.
Interior signage is not there---hard to find your room or the lobby.
No cups for the coffee maker
Dirty room
Reserved a King---got a Queen.

Just keep looking.

“Great Place, Pleasant Surprise 3-1-08”

Radisson Inn Tulsa Airport

Mar 6, 2008

I had read alot of negative reviews of this hotel and we were leary of it . However we named our own price on priceline and for the 2.5 stars it showed, we figured the 30 bucs a night we named was a good deal, as we stayed 3 nights. So we took our chances. We got there and I was impressed by the shining floors of the lobby and the professionally looking staff. We got our room, which i would reccomend checking in early (3 pm is check in time). this way you get a downstairs room as this hotel is 2 floors with no elevators. We got our downstairs room with a beautiful king size bed. The entire room was clean,, there was no construction going on. Plenty of parking, no noises in the middle of the night, etc.

There is a train which you can hear about 9 a.m. if your awake. However, if your sleeping, there would be no way you could hear it and it turns out to be a long way away so its amazing you can barely hear it anyway.

Some of the downsides to this hotel is that there are no restaurants nearby. You will have to drive a few miles to get to them. They do offer room service and have a bar and restaurant onsite, but pricey.

One of the days we stayed the maid did not clear our room at all and since we were out all day and didnt get in until late, we couldnt get new towels, etc. So that was not cool. No tips for them. Beware of the snack machine in the hall way, things get stuck in it, if they do, just shake the byotch alot.

The shuttle driver was very cool and he is happy to take you around the airport should you need service there, or you can walk as you are about 1/4 mile from the terminal, but amazingly you dont hear planes taking off at all.

There are two big indian casinos each about 8 miles from the hotel.... one in each direction. I recommend the million dollar elm casino, because it was not under contruction like the other one is, and you can go to the bar there, get drinks and walk around the casino drinking them. Most casinos wont let you leave the bar area, but this one is cool about it which makes it more fun to play when you get a buzz.

If you happen to want to take a drive to the south side of town, there is another large casino on the arkansas river which has alot more variety than the two nothern casinos, and to our experience, the slots are looser there.

This was my first visit to Tulsa, and probably my last unless i bring the grandkids to the Oklahoma Aquarium which was pretty nice.

I say my last visit simply because there are so many cities and great places to explore in the USA that its fun to go to a new place.

Rule # 1 if your going to Tulsa and want a nice cheap place to stay. Get on price line, type in 30 bucs for your own price and include the tulsa airport. you will get a nice room that is normally 89.00- 129.00 bucs a night depending upon what day it is.

What a deal

“Our Room was Occupied!!!”

Radisson Inn Tulsa Airport

1 of 5 stars
Pennsylvania
Jan 5, 2008

First room given smelled like feet and heater didn't work. Staff stated they would send someone to our room with key card to new room. After 1/2 hour went to desk...no one was working on it. Staff gave us new key card. When opened door to second room found it was OCCUPIED!!! Went back to desk, was give an third room key to another room. It also was occupied when we let ourselves in. Very uncomfortable situations. Fourth time we had staff go to room and make certain it was unoccupied and that all things were in working order. It was fine then but all took over an hour to get checked in with us toting around 5 pieces of luggage after a 6 hour drive with a 6 a.m. flight to look forward to. Will not stay here again.

“Radisson rumbles & crumbles”

Radisson Inn Tulsa Airport

1 of 5 stars
San Diego CA
Dec 29, 2007

The construction/renovation of this '60's structure are awful. The 2nd floor pipes clank thru the ceiling of the 1st floor with every shower, flush or hand wash; and, if you're lucky enough to have someone on the 1st floor taking a shower, you get a high pitched whistle from the water pressure. The carpets are worn, the wallpaper seams are separating, the ceilings are stained and sloppily repaired from previous leaks. What a dump.........but the beds, personnel & bar are FANTASTIC. You just can't sleep thru the thumping of pipes, corridor noise or the 0415 train (yes, train) departure nearby.
