We booked the Holiday Inn Select through Hotwire for a family trip to Sesame Place. After reading the mostly bad reviews, I set myself up for disappointment. But, I'm happy to say that we were pleasantly surprised! The staff was courteous & we were encouraged to let them know if we needed anything from forgotten toiletries to directions.
We had a room with two double beds. Nothing spectacular, but it was clean and comfortable and that's all that really mattered. There were many families staying over the weekend, but our room was quiet & we could not hear any outside noise.
We ate 1 dinner & 1 breakfast at the hotel's restaurant, Brady's. The food was average, family-friendly, something along the lines of an Applebee's, but not as much of a selection. Kids eat free, so that's a plus! There was a breakfast buffet for $10.95 for adults which was also about average. There was a selection of fruits, yogurt, bagels, donuts, muffins, eggs, bacon/sausage, potatoes & pancakes. Drinks were included.
Unlike other reviews, we found the pool to be clean and clear, although much smaller that it seems in the pics on the hotel's website. The "fitness center" is VERY small. Along the lines of a large walk-in closet. But it does have a treadmill, elliptical, and stairmaster, so I guess it serves it's purpose.
All in all, we enjoyed our stay at the Holiday Inn Select and for the price, would definately stay there again.

the staff were extremely helpful i had forgotten to pack my adaptor from uk three pin to us so i asked at the reception desk and the very very helpful maintenace guy hunted round and eventually found a phone charger that fitted my phone ive stayed at other hotels where they dont even bother looking saying sorry we dont have any but these went that extra mile and went hunting for an adaptor

the restaurant and bar were excellent and the hotel pool although small is well maintained

i like the security where certain doors can only be open vai a swipe card

and that the fifth and sixth floors via the lift can only be accesed via using your swipe card

We stayed at this hotel while visiting Sesame Place with our 2 year old son. They are very kid friendly. The hotel is a very easy drive to the park. It only took us less then 10min.

The room was clean and well kept. Their was a brand new shower head in which you can adjust how the water comes out. They provided clean towls, washcloths, soap (including face soap), shampoo and conditioner.

The beds were so comfortable!!! I did not want get out of them.

There is a convenient little restaurant and bar inside of the hotel called "Brady's". You can order room service if you like. This is good if you have been at the park all day and are tired.

The breakfast buffet is $10.99 for all you can eat eggs, bacon, sausage, french toast, egg buritos, cold cereal, muffins, bagels, donuts, fruit and Lite N Fit Yogurt. Kids eat all meals free. You can also pick breakfast from their menu. The dinner was ok. I had the crab cakes which were really expensive and not worth it. They were $22.00.

Check in and check out was a breeze. The only complaint I have is that the walls are thin. At night I can hear the kids in the room next to us a little. But, not enough to keep us up. (Like I said, the beds were really comfy).

I recommend this hotel if you are visiting Sesame Place or if you are traveling with children.

I spent days trying to find a hotel to accomodate our family trip to sesame place there was 12 of us. I chose this hotel because it looked better than a holiday inn express, it had a restaurant and the the indoor pool looked great. Well, what a filthy place!!! The rooms were smelly and small, the shower didn't work and the bed had a spider in it. I decided to take my kids down to the pool after we have been travelling from Florida since 4:30 am. The pool was cloudy and green, there was a horrible smell and a film of something floating on top of the pool. When I went to the desk to ask for maintenance they sent a man to the pool who told me word for word " oh that is the grease from peoples hair floating on the top of the water" it looked like dead skin...
then the restaurant what a nightmare. 12 of us sat down after 10 hours at the park we ordered dinner and 1 hour later there was no sign of food, WE HAD 5 KIDS UNDER 6 YEARS OLD...I would never recommend this hotel to anyone and the website should represent what the hotel really looks like.
