Egret Point, by Spinnaker resort, is on beautiful Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. The resort is located within the Shipyard Plantation, a gated community.
The resort is within walking distance from the beach. Egret Point gives you the feeling of being a resident of the island. Egret Point is made up of two-story wooden chateaus, surrounded by beautiful golf courses, tennis courts, and lakes.
Our two bedroom villa was located on the first floor, close to the clubhouse and main swimming pool. When you first walked into the villa, a king size bedroom, and bathroom greeted you, off to the left. Immediately past the bedroom, was the kitchen. The kitchen had everything you would need to cook for a large family. The villa also had a large washer and dryer. After the kitchen, was a large living room/dining room combo. It had a large TV and CD changer, to entertain you. The living room also had a sleeper couch, for unexpected guests. The other bedroom was located off of the living room and included a king size bed and master bathroom. Both bathrooms had large Jacuzzi tubs and walk in showers.
The deck was located off of the living room as well, and had steps that led down to the path that would take you to the gas grill area. The deck came equipped with a patio set for four, which overlooked the lake.
A few stray cats wandered by from time to time, looking for a quick meal. The cats didn’t stay long, because animal instincts took over, as an alligator was lurking in the lake!!
The villa came equipped with two cruiser bicycles with a combination lock and baskets. There was a list of daily activities to choose from. Some were free, and some for a nominal fee. We were a party of 4 adults and 2 children. There was ample amount of space for all of us!! Hilton Head Island has a lot to do; from shopping, to relaxing, to sightseeing, to eating and entertainment. There are sport bars throughout the island, and can pretty much find anything close by. HHI is a great family Vacation spot. My family loves it.
We were there For Labor Day and it was not crowded.
