“Decent Hotel”

We just returned from staying at The Richardson Hotel in the North Dallas suburb of Richardson. The hotel's location is perfect for business travelers, but it is quite a drive from the attractions in the Dallas area if you're visiting for pleasure.

The hotel staff is EXTREMELY FRIENDLY! They were more attentive to me and my well-being than I had expected. The management staff was very responsive to every request, but the only sour grape was the bartender named Nicole. She would not turn on the music in the bar area because two people were eating - there were about 20 other people in the bar just drinking. I guess the atmosphere at the bar wasn't that great with the lack of music and the extremely bright lights.

The lobby is welcoming and the shuttle service is great if you don't have a car and want to travel to a place close to the hotel. The elevators can take a while though.

The rooms were comfortable overall. We had a view that faced the highway, but the windows were thick enough we didn't hear the traffic. The beds were comfy, and the bathroom amenities were decent. The only complaint I have about the room is the decor because the walls are pretty bare. But we just needed a place to sleep, so it was sufficient.

The outdoor pool looked inviting with the 80-degree weather in November! And the gym looked pretty cool.

Overall, the experience was great, and I would definitely recommend this place to business travelers.

“Great Hotel Great Price”

What a deal! Got a great rate on Priceline and couldn't be happier. Room is very luxurious - comparable to the Renaissance which is very nice. I like this hotel better since parking is right out front , convenient and free. Free wireless internet, too. Hotel is large enough to offer extras, but small enough to get in and out of quickly. That's very important to me after a long day at the office.& tired of lugging a laptop around. I will definately stay here again.

“Nice place!”

Great price for the superior quality. The beds were fluffy and comfortable. The only 'complaint' is the pedestal sink in the bathroom--no place to set your toiletries. It is rated a four star (which it deserves) with a two-star price of less than $80 on Priceline. Excellent buy!!!

“Solid 3 star”

Hyatt Regency North Dallas/Richardson

3 of 5 stars
Austin, Texas

My husband stayed in this hotel on September 21, and I joined him the night of Sept. 22. I can't comment on check in or check out because he took care of that. The hotel is a solid three star. The room was clean, recently redone, and the bed was comfortable with very comfortable pillows. The two best things at the hotel were the hot water and the quiet. The hot water is instant in the room, and it is scalding hot. If you have small kids, you will need to warn them to be careful, but for adults it was wonderful. The hotel is also very quiet. We are used to not sleeping well in hotels because of doors slamming, but not here. We heard only one door, and it was our next door neighbor. Also, the plumbing noise from neighbors is pretty much non-existant. The staff was good for directions and other information. However, the concierge line when not answered rolled over to housekeeping. The parts of the hotel we didn't like were the towels -- they were smaller than average and the heating/cooling system. Our thermostat was not screwed into the wall well, and there was no way to set the temperature. It was just cooler or warmer, and it seemed either the heat or the a/c was on all the time. We never figured out how to turn the fan off. That being said, we spent very little time in the room and didn't worry about it too much. Overall, this hotel is a solid three star.

This hotel is so much more beautiful inside then you would think from the outside! The rooms were SO comfortable with large high beds. The staff was very accomodating. The location was very easy to find. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area.
