We just returned from staying at The Richardson Hotel in the North Dallas suburb of Richardson. The hotel's location is perfect for business travelers, but it is quite a drive from the attractions in the Dallas area if you're visiting for pleasure.
The hotel staff is EXTREMELY FRIENDLY! They were more attentive to me and my well-being than I had expected. The management staff was very responsive to every request, but the only sour grape was the bartender named Nicole. She would not turn on the music in the bar area because two people were eating - there were about 20 other people in the bar just drinking. I guess the atmosphere at the bar wasn't that great with the lack of music and the extremely bright lights.
The lobby is welcoming and the shuttle service is great if you don't have a car and want to travel to a place close to the hotel. The elevators can take a while though.
The rooms were comfortable overall. We had a view that faced the highway, but the windows were thick enough we didn't hear the traffic. The beds were comfy, and the bathroom amenities were decent. The only complaint I have about the room is the decor because the walls are pretty bare. But we just needed a place to sleep, so it was sufficient.
The outdoor pool looked inviting with the 80-degree weather in November! And the gym looked pretty cool.
Overall, the experience was great, and I would definitely recommend this place to business travelers.
