We chose to stay here for my daughter's birthday because of the indoor pool. When we arrived, the pool was broken and noone notified me of this on the phone when I called to confirm my reservation 2 days prior. The hotel is very dirty looking overall. Our room was very large and not a bad price but it smelled of cigarette smoke and it was really bad. I am a smoker and I still could not stand the smell. Also, we killed a cockroach near the front door. The front desk was nice when I had trouble connecting to the internet. I will never stay at this hotel again, nor do I recommend anyone to stay there unless there is NO other hotel in town!

I was extremely dissatisfied with the Howard Johnson Hotel stay in San Angelo. The room was filthy...cobwebs on the ceiling, stained carpets, curtains hanging off the rail, dirty bath tub, dirty bathroom floor, hairs in the bath and tiled floor, rust stained bathtub, leaky faucet, holes in walls, dirty stained wallpaper,stained towels to dry ourselves on I could go on.....
One breakfast voucher for 2 people....we didnt eat breakfast in the end...because of this.
The pictures on the website make the hotel look great...they are over rated its run down and the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. II was extremely disappointed in what looked like a clean comfortable hotel. I was mislead. Unsafe, three police cars doing a bust two rooms down from us......
I wouldnt recommend this to anyone

Ok..I honestly do not know how to adequately portray this "hotel". We stayed there night before last..and only because every other hotel in the city (literally) was booked.

Furniture is extremely out of date..hotel is in unsafe part of town..or so it appeared. Unsavory people in and around the premises. We were actually scared to sit on or sleep on the furniture in the room. Sheets were stained, towels were stained, furniture was VERY old and dirty. Price was waay to high for a room like this. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

We had a terrible experience. Dead crickets everywhere, old stained sheets, towels and furniture. Will never stay here again.
