For starters, the parking area is very tight and low, making it difficult to maneuver larger vehicles. The lobby was very clean and tidy and there is a pool in the lobby which was not much bigger than a kiddie pool and only has a depth of 4 feet. Checking in was quick and easy, though the desk clerk did not give us a warm welcome...in fact she gave us no welcome at all, just asked "What's your name?" The corridors were very shabby looking and the room was in need of a major overhaul. The bedspreads looked like they hadn't been washed in years. Underneath the toilet seat wasn't completely clean, and the phone was absolutely grimey. I scalded a washcloth in hot water and washed some of the filth off the phone before I used it. One thing that made me want to stay at this particular hotel was that they offered free high speed wireless internet service. I could not get a signal most of the time, and when I could, the speed was honestly about as fast as a 14.4 kb connection. We didn't want maid service during our stay, but on the second day we gathered our used towels, bagged our garbage and left a small tip with a note on top of the miniature microwave (the door of which was very hard to open) asking for additional coffee. When we came back to our room, the tip was gone, 3 packs of coffee were in its place, the towels were gone but had not been replaced and the trash was still sitting on the floor. We were not pleased about that, of course. On an up note, the hotel was very secure. It wasn't too bad for the price, but I wouldn't recommend it.
