“Convienent and Basic for One Night”

Maui Seaside Hotel

Husband and I stayed one night after getting in on a late flight that arrived around ten o'clock. After reading the reviews I was pretty scared to see what we were in for but the room ended up being clean and basic which was what we were looking for. Had an okay view in the morning but checked out right away so didn't really matter. The staff were friendly enough--would not say overly friendly but did their job fine. Went for a late night snack at The Ale House down the street which was perfect. The room is very basic with dated amenities but was clean. Would stay again for one night but would find other accommodations if wanting to make this your vacation getaway.

The hotel is close to the airport and local shopping. Staff was not too friendly and the parking is a mess. The room was decent although a bit outdated. Nice views of the water from the pool area.

“Good place for a cheap quick one night stay”

Maui Seaside Hotel

The Maui Seaside is good, cheap place to stay if you are landing later in the day and just need a close, clean place to stay before heading to other areas of Maui. When we got there, the desk service staff was very friendly and had upgraded our room. There was plenty of parking.
The room was clean. A little noisy as people tended to stand under the window to smoke... I could have shut the window, but I was enjoying the ocean sounds too much for that!!
The grounds are pretty and the continental breakfast was perfect before setting out for a full day of sight seeing...

The hotel was basically clean but very outdated. Carpet was old and the windows sucked. Small towels in Bathroom.Tight fit parking lot. On our section of hotel to go outside to parking lot had to walk all the way down to one side of unit then walk all the way back outside. Crazy. This is probably legal but hallways had no sprinklers but a series of small fire extinguishers in the hall way. I guess for the price it was ok if you were not going to stay in hotel very much. Oh the Continental sucked if you like nutrition No bagels or cereal. Next time I will probably go to a diffrent place.

“Never again”

Stayed here because we had to (a late flight in, so did not want to drive in the dark). And will never stay again.

The personnel was friendly but that is just about as far as it gets. The bed was a nightmare, room way below average and the whole building was old and not well taken care of. The vending machines were out of everything (and were the only place to buy anything at night) and the breakfast was basically non-existent. For this price in the mainland you stay in motels which are ten times better than this one!

Next time I will book a flight that is in Maui earlier and just head streight to the beach locations. Kahului is just not worth staying a night, nor even seeing for that matter.
