“Loved the staff!”

The staff at this hotel is so friendly and accommodating that I would say they out do even 5 star hotels. The hotel itself is very nice - not too big but very "California" style. The rooms are bigger than the average hotel but not as big as the Embassy Suites. Our kids loved the pool and I really liked the workout room. The food was excellent too. Breakfast was included in our rate which was a good value for our family. We will return again in the future.

Despite no television service throughout complex plus most, if not all, other rooms occupied the night I stayed in a room facing the parking lot, this hotel was a very comfortable, clean and quiet place. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They apologized upon check-in about lack of TV service in the area (it was not limited to the hotel) and provided me with choice of DVD movies. I slept well on the numbers adjustable bed, and had a pleasant, healthy breakfast at JJ's Grill, the on-site restaurant, before check out the next morning.

“Centrally located and nice hotel”

Radisson Suite Hotel Rancho Bernardo

Mar 19, 2008

I must say, surprisingly enough the pictures of the hotel on Expedia do not do it justice. The hotel is a little hidden on the mountain-side by lush greenery (not a bad thing), it's conveniently located right-off the freeway. We had 4 people traveling, 2 adults, 2 kids. They classfied the room as a suite, which is a little bit of a stretch, but is was very nicely decorated. Not your usual grandma covered, flowered comforter, it was a clean, fresh down blanket, the room did have a microwave, frig, free internet, and free parking. Driving a SUV, I did find parking spaces were a bit snug though. Our room had a Sleep Number Bed, which was a little noisy operating, but very comfortable to sleep on. The room is seperated by a pony wall and on 1 side you can watch T.V. on the sofa-bed or swivel it to where the bed is located. The room was located on the 1st floor, across from the heated-pool and jacuzzi, so with kids it was easily accessed and not noisey at all! There is a restraunt on premises called JJ's Grill. They do serve breakfast (buffet style only) for $7 a person, to my surprise they did not charge for kids! Pasteries, pancakes, eggs, sausage, oatmeal, coffee, teas. Really a good variety, just don't expect high-quality. Every adult does get 1 free alcoholic beverage each evening, which is nice. The Grill also serves dinner as well. Although, we ventured to The Elephant Bar just down the street, which has a great selection and great food! You can drive a couple exits' down and will find many places to eat or go to Old Town or Balboa Bay and have a ton of shopping, a variety of dining choices, and the Ocean breeze only about 20 minutes away. Check-in is normally @ 3pm, but they let us check in at about 12:30 (we just drove in from Vegas), which was a pleasant surprise! I would definately stay here again!

“Fine property”

Radisson Suite Hotel Rancho Bernardo

Mar 18, 2008

Nice property. Clean, spacious mini-suite. Capable staff. A little dated. Best sofa sleeper I have ever experienced. Hotel is in corporate business area and is very quiet on the weekend. Breakfast buffet is $7.00 and just OK. Needed the mini-bar after our 11:00 pm check-in, convenient. Decent rate in a city where weekend hotel rates throughout the city, during the off-season, are excessive.

Overall this hotel is a good value for San Diego. A higher rate would not be warranted nor would lower quality for the rate payed. Would stay again.

“Nice friendly hotel”

Radisson Suite Hotel Rancho Bernardo

Feb 25, 2008

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and it was just right for what we needed.

When we arrived we were moved up to a third floor room which was so good as we didn't have loads of people walking past nor the noise from the restaurant/bar or pool. It was actually a very quiet hotel even though it was very busy.

We ate in the hotel on the first night and got a free drink for both my husband and myself. The food was really fresh and well cooked - delicious for all of us.

The pool and hot tub looked lovely but the weather was just a bit too cold to tempt us in.

There is a great, cheap launderette on site which makes it very easy when you are travelling a lot as we were.

The room was a great size again with a big sofa bed and two doubles. My only little complaint is that the bed was just not comfortable.

Overall very friendly and great for the price.
