“The best hotel in New York!”

Library Hotel

5 of 5 stars
Somerset
Jul 16, 2008

My husband and I have just returned from a week in New York to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. We chose the Library Hotel after searching for Romantic Hotels online. From the moment we walked through the door on our first day we were made to feel special. They had put a bottle of bubbly in the room together with a card congratulating us. The staff are wonderful, everyone is friendly and welcoming and the room was just perfect, we had the music room. We could have stayed in the hotel all day just reading books, they have a wonderful variety and it was fun to choose different ones when we sat having cheese and wine in the evening before going out. This is not the cheapest hotel by any means but it is well worth the money, when we next go to New York we will definately not consider staying anywhere else. We recommend this hotel wholeheartedly,

“Great concept!”

Library Hotel

4 of 5 stars
Brookline, Massachusetts
Jul 8, 2008

I enjoyed staying at the hotel for my July 4th weekend with friends in NYC. I really liked the library concept. As a reader, I was on the religion floor and I noticed the room actually has a lot of interesting books. It seems it’s a concept the hotel takes seriously - that’s great! My only regret was I was not able to spend more time using the hotel facilities - I was out enjoying the city most of the time.

I loved the style of the room. Although very small I never felt claustrophobic. Not to mentioned it was good value for money for NYC. I really appreciated that the number of rooms was small per floor. I couldn’t really figure how to use my ipod with the room speakers but I guess I could’ve always called for help - just didn’t have the time. I enjoyed the Azur toiletries in the bathroom but thought the tiles were not as cool as rest of the room. Oh yes, thanks for the free internet.

Only major room for improvement is the parking situation. It’s not very convenient considering the garage is two blocks away and the hotel does not have valet parking. Also, the parking staff could’ve been better. The guy I had to deal with on Sunday around 11 p.m. was very difficult. This was just before my long drive back to Boston and the whole interaction left a bad taste in my mouth.

But in general I had a good time and will return. Thanks for everything.

We have just returned from The Library and had a fantastic time at this lovely hotel. The staff were all so helpful and friendly giving us great suggestions on where to go for dinner etc. The rooms were immaculate and of a high standard...we stayed in the de luxe rooms. Drinks all day and wine and cheese in the evening, was a lovely touch and graetly appreciated. The breakfast provided was perfect. Roof top bar was lovely at the end of the evening but you could also take your breakfast up there. Great location and easy to get to most places by foot. We would not stay anywhere else. Thank you to all at this Hotel we had a fantastic week.

“Great Experience!!!”

We had the most wonderful experience at The Library Hotel. We arrived hours before check-in and just wanted to drop off our bags before we headed out but they got our room ready right away and had us checked in in no time at all. They knew our names and were so freindly my husband and I were blown away in the first 15 minutes. The room we stayed in was clean and the room service was excellent. The weekend we were there it rained the whole time and someone was at the door ready to offer us an umbrella to take with us and give us suggestions on where to eat! The rooftop garden and bar was fun and relaxing. Everything about the hotel was great. We will not only stay there again but we will not stay anywhere else in New York from now on!!!

“Books, Wine and Location the Perfect Hotel. The Library,NYC.”

Library Hotel

5 of 5 stars
chincoteague va
Jul 6, 2008

I try to stay at The Library whenever I travel to NYC. and as long as they continue to offer special rates I will. The Library makes me feel like it is my own private club. Lemonade and cookies when I arrive, wine and cheese before I venture out in the evening and croissant and coffee, while reading the paper to start the day, what could be better. The rooms are small which makes it even more cozy and comfortable, the beds are the most comfortable. Location is also the most convenient of all the hotels I have stayed in NYC, even the parking garage around the corner is easy in, easy out and you get a discount with a stamp from the hotel. And as I implied in the beginning it is pricey, more than I would pay normally but as they offer special dates, with special rates through out the year I get to enjoy this gift to myself throughout the year. Yeah!
