This hotel is fantastic! Location is central in the French Quarter and is very close to the riverwalk and famous Cafe du Monde. The room was huge and had great amenities include great bath products, bath robes, iron and ironing board and ipod ready alarm clock. The best thing about the room was the balcony that overlooked the pool and courtyard. Service was great and I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Loved the decor, the staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good. Bed was comfortable. I would recommend courtyard exposure as Decauter St can be loud.

Had an excellent five night stay at the Bienville Hotel while I was in New Orleans for a conference. It wasn't the closest hotel to the conference center (for that go with the Hilton), but it is only two blocks from Bourbon Street - which I considered more important being that I was traveling alone and am female and I'm not one to sit in my room twiddling my thumbs.

The hotel has a nice lobby, wonderful staff, a small pool and breakfast area downstairs. My room was HUGE, a plus, but right next to a busy road, a minus. Not so negative that I needed to change rooms though. The rooms were nicely decorated and on par for it's star rating. I would say the reason I wanted to write a review is due to the staff who were almost more charming than the decour.

Guest service is possibly the most important aspect of a hotel stay, in my opinion. To say that the Bienville House needs work in this area is an understatement. I don't remember any time in my life where I was so offended by a guest service representative than when I was in contact with this hotel. They refused to help me in any form, and when I talked to management, I got the same kind of treatment. I love New Orleans. I will never, ever stay at the Bienville House, nor will I ever recommend it to friends.
