“Great for a Family”

Drury Inn and Suites Riverwalk

We just returned from a three night stay at the Drury. It is a great location for a family. I traveled with four adults and two kids and the one bedroom suite was perfect. There was room for us to spread out and the two televisions meant the kids could watch what they wanted. The room was really clean and the location was great. We were able to walk to the businesses on the riverwalk as well as the Market and La Villita.

The only negative is the construction that is going on right next door to the North of the property. Our room was located right next to the work being done and it began at or before 8 a.m. every morning this negated any plans of sleeping in.

The complimentary sodas and popcorn was great. The business center was great and had free internet service as well as the ability to print for free.

Overall it was a great experience and a place that I would recommend for families.

“Well, it's definitely not a WOW feeling....”

Stayed here for a conference, had a two queen suite. Suite does come with refridgerator and microwave. There were only two washclothes and 1 shampoo provided daily. No conditioner, so bring your own. We had a riverwalk suite on the 7th floor but the street noise was terrible. There was constant honking and city buses passing by, and even with the room fan at full blast, I found it difficult to sleep. The rooms are clean but reminded me of a motel not a hotel, so If you are looking for that boutique experience....look elsewhere. There is a decent full breakfast included and a nightly happy hour, The pool is postage stamp size. The front desk staff were, however, very accomodating and friendly. We travel a lot, so I have a pretty good basis with which to compare. Will probably go else where in future.

“Big Let Down”

Drury Inn and Suites Riverwalk

We stayed in one of their suites, and won't return.

Positives:
Location.
Friendly front desk staff.
Great air conditioning (important there).
Bathroom was spotless.
24-hour free business center.
Free long distance.
Free Internet.
Free soft drinks and popcorn after 3pm.
3 free happy hour drinks.
Free breakfast (waffles, scrambled eggs, french toast, bagels, juice), was plentiful but low quality.

Negatives:
We asked for housekeeping at 1pm and it still wasn't done at 3pm. We heard several other guests complain that it was late afternoon and their rooms still weren't cleaned either.
The carpet was dirty.
The room was run down.
The only air vent blew directly onto the bed, and when I tried deflecting the vent vanes I got black stuff on my hands, possibly mold.
Construction was going on in the lobby, so they gave us a discount, but we still won't return or go to any other Drury hotels.

“A Must Stay!”

Drury Inn and Suites Riverwalk

We just returned home from our 4 night stay at the Drury Inn & Suites Riverwalk. Our stay was nothing short of perfect. We were immediately greeted by a parking attendant, and was pointed in the right direction. At check in we were greeted by the most friendly front desk staff ever. There was some confusion with our reservation (we had reserved a non smoking room and instead had a smoking room listed on our reservation) and since the hotel was almost completely booked, we had to keep a smoking room, but were moved to a suite overlooking the Riverwalk. There were 4 adults and 2 children staying in the room and there was plenty of room for everyone to move around without being on top of one another. We stayed on the 7th floor, which made it convenient to et to the pool. The rooftop pool was actually heated, which was great for those early morning swims for our 5 year old girls! The workout room seemed small, but we didn't use it anyway. The Happy Hour was nice for the adults and free drinks and snacks in the lobby were helpful with 2 small children. I cannot begin to describe the friendliness of this staff! We were greeting with a "hello" and a smile from everyone employed by our hotel. If we needed anything, we knew all we had to do was ask. Nina at the front desk was GREAT!! We spent part of our summer vacation here, and we were made to feel right at home! We will definately stay here the next time we come to San Antonio!!

“Loved Drury Inn and Suites Riverwalk!!!”

Drury Inn and Suites Riverwalk

Just got back from San Antonio Riverwalk and I must say Drury was great! My husband and I needed a little weekend get away and it was everything we expected and more. The location is great, not in the thick of things, just down the way a bit and not too far to walk to be in the thick of things! Even though the lobby was under remodel, we barely noticed it. The staff is one of the most courteous I've encountered while traveling and every employee we dealt with went out of their way to help us with a smile on their face. The complimentary cocktail hour was awesome, we made a stop before we left for the evening and the hot breakfast the next morning was the bomb! We are already planning to stay in December for our anniversary! Thanks Drury, we WILL be back. Oh and the beds were VERY comfortable. I like the parking arrangement as well. I felt our car was safe & secure and we were able to bring our luggage right in the door to our 3rd floor room.
