“Fabulous Hotel & Staff!”

We absolutely loved staying here. We have been traveling to Hawaii for over 25 years, but have never been to Oahu. So we decided to do the tourist thing and stay in Honolulu for 5 nights. We chose this hotel as it is off the main drag, but still within walking distance to the shops and beach. Ali at the front desk was extremely helpful and very professional in helping us find the right room. I would recommend a corner room as it has the largest deck space. The hotel has just gone thru renovations so everything is new and beautiful. Our housekeeper on the 27th floor made sure that our room was always clean. The pool area was still undergoing construction, plus the location on the 10th floor is extremely windy. Parking was easy and fast, both getting into the hotel and leaving the hotel.
I would highly recommend this site for both the hotel and it's wonderful staff.

“Even better than in the past”

Hilton Waikiki Prince Kuhio Hotel

We have enjoyed the Prince Kuhio in the past, and found it much improved now that it's a Hilton. The rooms are stylishly decorated, and the new configuration of the enlarged bathroom is perfect. And then there's the Hilton bed!

We reserved an oceanview room and were not disappointed. However, we had to request an additional balcony chair, as there was only one. It was immediately delivered. Several of the patios had no furniture, so that seems to be a work-in-progress.

The pool area is adequate, and did not seem to have been remodeled. The hot tub appeared broken - cordoned off - with no note stating the issue and when it would be repaired. For guests who expected to use it (not me) that could be a problem--and the hotel should have been all over the situation. No one was working on it, so no visible signs of being addressed.

The 24/7 restaurant looked expensive, and we didn't go there. The location of the hotel is so perfect, in terms of walking to the beach, restaurants, and/or taking the bus anywhere on the island, that we didn't feel constrained in our dining options.

We had a great time and expect to return next year.

“Hilton was great!”

Hilton Waikiki Prince Kuhio Hotel

We stayed at the Prince Kuhio in April 2008 and absolutely loved it. The hotel was very clean & modern and the employees were friendly and helpful. We were upgraded from a mountain view room to an ocean view room on the 11th floor, it was wonderful. We had a corner room with a balcony that rapped around the mountain side of the hotel, so we got wonderful views of the water, mountains and city. It is not right on the beach, but it is only a short two block walk, which wasn't a big deal at all. We could still see Waikiki Beach from our room. I am very fussy about cleanliness in hotels and I was very pleased with Prince Kuhio. Even the corners in the bathroom were clean, which doesn't happen very often. The bed was VERY comfortable, almost as comfortable as our own bed at home and the sheets were really soft.

Our stay included breakfast at the 24/7 cafe, which was very good. One warning for those thinking about the pancakes....these are not your ordinary sized pancakes. I am not exaggerating when I tell you that these things are as big as hub caps on your car, and you get THREE of these bad boys! MY advice is that you might want to share the pancake plate. They were delicious! The pulled pork sandwich was also very good and the fried pickles...to die for!!! Price wise, it was a little spendy to eat at the hotel, but this is Hawaii and things are expensive everywhere.

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Honolulu.

“Nice”

I was pleasantly surprised at this hotel. The rooms were beautiful. We did not eat at 24/7 but it was definitely the local hang out after hours. There was quite of bit of noise that made it in from the street below but such is Honolulu.

If I had to stay in Honolulu I would stay here again. The work out room is a joke.

“GREAT except for the thin walls!”

Beautiful hotel, totally upgraded BUT the walls are too thin! OMG I heard almost everything my neighbors were saying in the early morning and late evening hours. I almost switched to a room that was next to other vacant rooms, it was annoying. This was the only drawback.
