Please be careful when going to this hotel or to the bar Kartuja located in the lobby. Last month in July, my friend and I were badly burned at this hotel. One of the bartendars set the bar on fire to do a show and then decided to spit liquor through the fire. My friend and I caught on fire. Our arms, hair and body. We had to turn ourselves off. Please be careful. To my knowledge there were at least 5 of us on fire. Mostly tourists.

The worst part about the whole situation is that they did not even close the bar down after this horrible tragedy. I guess our lives and the lives of the attendees do not mean much in there.

We found this hotel on the internet. My family of 4 arrived too late at night to find another hotel. We didn't even unpack! We left early the next morning and ran fast. They would not credit our Visa card for the remaining nights but Visa backed us 100%. It was filthy dirty and doubled as a brothel. We all found strange looking tiny rashes all over our bodies, presumably from bed bugs. We checked into the nearby Grand Alimante, took very hot showers, and felt like we were in heaven! Do not go to this place! DP

First of all they did not have our reservation for the correct dates when we arrived. After correcting the problem we checked in and after seeing our rooms we decided to check out in less than 5 minutes, I'm not going to mention what was found in the bathrooms...... We went to the front desk to check out and they wanted to charge us 26% taxes for the stay, long story short we did not pay anything and we ended up staying at the Hodelpa Gran Almirante which I highly recommend.
