This was absolutely the highlight of our Tuscany adventure. Our only dissappointment is that we did not stay longer. We can't wait to come back! Don't you miss out...book now..just not when we want to...

This is our second stay at Casa Portagioia and it has been every bit as good as the last. The rooms are spotlessly clean (Marcello wields his duster with great fervour) and the toiletries, bathrobes and slippers make this into a very up-market b&b. Breakfasts are fabulous, with a huge selection of fresh friuit, freshly squeezed o.j., yogurts, cereals, eggs and freshly baked croissants. Twice a week Marcello works his magic in the kitchen and serves up an amazing 5 course dinner - well worth staying in for.

The location is stunning (thanks to Terry's gardening prowess) and if you don't want to visit the many beautiful towns in the vicinity, lazing by the pool and having a bottle or two of wine is a delightful way to pass the day. A delicious salad or pasta for lunch is the icing on the cake.

Terry is a charming, debonair and amusing host and both he and Marcello can never do enough to help even the most discerning of guests!

Truly a magical place and destined to be one of those that you will keep coming back to.

This time it was for our honeymoon and it was excellent!

Big compliments to Terry and Marcello for an outstanding service especially Marcello's cooking and Terry's entertainment.

The facilities :
-an outstanding pool and garden area
-very clean and large rooms
-the dinners twice a week are fenomenal!

The location of Casa P is very central in Tuscany and close to Umbria, so ideal for sightseeing.

In short :when you go to Tuscany defenetly stay at Casa P!! Its a must do!!!

We really dont want to give a recommendation because we are afraid it may book up before we can schedule. This was the second year we stayed at Casa Portagioia. Last year we stayed a week, this year we stayed 2 weeks. It is the most wonderful relaxing place with wonderful hosts and great guests and beautiful roses and flowers, I have never seen so many huge roses and orther flowers. It is a perfect location to use as a base to drive anywhere around tuscany. Which we did everyday. My husband, and daughter (29) and I would arrive back about 6:00 sit out on the patio outside our appartment and have wine and cheese and then go for a swim in the gorgeous swimming pool with beautiful views and little split tail swallows swooping down to scoop water. It was the best time. Then we would drive to dinner except 2 nites a week Marcello would prepare the most incredible gormet 5 course meal. (optional) but we never turned it down and we were never disappointed. Terri would entertain and keep everyone happy. We miss them already..
We have already started planning next years trip unfortunately or fortunately we are going back again. We just can't seem to change our location It is the best and next year is 3 weeks at Casa Portagioa and 1 week elsewhere. We love Marcello and Terri, Sammy and Tosca (little tiny puppies). Made every day a happy day you couldn't help but love them. They kept us laughing. Evie, Bruce & Kristie
