We found Todo Blanco after driving around in Las Galeras for a while and looking for a moderately priced hotel, clean and with hot water.

The place is absolutely fantastic. The rooms are all ocean view, very clean, simply furnished by with taste. We stayed in Room 8--a corner room. They have a huge reception very nicely furnished (modern), with a couch and a TV, as well as a large dinning table.

The gardens are immaculate. They have several gazebos, and small restaurant, mostly for breakfast.

It costs us US$75 for two, which is quite moderate for Las Galeras. Internet, safe, or AC are all extra, as it is breakfast. We had breakfast on the premises for US$5 each, and it included, coffee, fresh juice, fruits, and eggs.

One great thing, the manager (Italian) speaks perfect Spanish, French and very good English in addition to Italian.

We had dinner at the Paradise Restaurant, owned by an American and his French wife (both cooks). We highly recommend this restaurant. The food was excellent, prices very moderate, great ambiance too. Make a reservation. By the way, this is a great place to eat top quality meat which the owner ages himself. (Not too many places to eat a good steak in the DR; take advantage of this one while in Las Galeras).

If you are in the area, we also recommend you go to Playa El Rincon. Undeveloped yet, it really feels like paradise.
