I have a carbon footprint roughly the size of a petrified forest and I should be an ambassador for Ryanair and Easyjet. Tragically I have to work for a living, and this interferes with my favourite pastime of booking cheap flights and planning adventures on mainland Europe. I love it! You won't notice me and my partner abroad. We are the quiet middle-aged couple not making a fuss. Our luggage is never overweight and we always wear sensible shoes. We stay in modest hotels and eat whatever the locals are having. We always learn at least a few words of the language and make a conscious effort to not be embarrassing Brits on holiday.
